This body of work focuses on arid Western landscapes that I have visited. During the COVID pandemic, I am yearning to travel again. In 2020 there was comfort and safety when outside in Nature. Color conveys the the energy from nature and space in the landscape. My mark-making emphasizes topology.
This image is inspired by aerial photographs of Georgia O’Keeffe’s property at Ghost Ranch. After long discussions with the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum staff, a collaboration was initiated to photograph her properties in 2018.
