Painted while at a three-week art residency in Vermont Studio Center located in Johnson, Vermont in March, 2023. Inspired by the Big Horn Sheep Canyon, CO area on a recent trip to visit family.

Mountains remind us of Near and Far. They trigger different perceptions with their vastness and detail of surface and topology. The Earth’s skin or it’s surface is intriguing composed of many different shapes, materials, colors and changes with time.You can keep going back again and again to see something familiar, yet enticingly different.

Honored to have two paintings, ‘Denton Creek Bed’ and ‘Big Horn Sheep Canyon area’ juried into the 36th Annual Juried Exhibition hosted by Texarkana Regional Arts Center and Humanities Council (TRAHC).
This is a regional juried art competition exhibit that is on view from June 21 – August 10, 2024. Opening Reception: June 21, 2024 at 6:30pm.
